my first zinnias arrangment

this summer was my first attempt at growing zinnias. i am now in love with this flower and the potential it has in a cutting garden. i am not the master flower arranger that some of you seem to be, but these zinnias make my first attempt bearable to look at :) maybe when i get better i can think about adding other flowers

Looks beautiful, AND a dramatic stylistic shot! Way to go!--on growing, arranging and photographing them.

Keep this up and you won't be a "beginner" for long!

Loved your asymmetrical arrangement of very, very popular magenta zinnias. Are you growing these on your balcony? Newly married, I grew zinnias in my first garden. Lots of zinnias!! I love this flower to this day -- many years later.
The zinnia in the photo at 8:00 is the perfect zinnias for cutting. The time to cut is before the florets develop. That would be the yellow star shapes in the flower. Alot of people just love those yellow stars. But, it also means the flower is getting old. That's alright for your own use; but, if you sometime cut and arrange for family or friend (and you will now that you have been bitten by the bug), you'll want to cut them before they are so mature. They'll last longer in the vase too.
