| a day after I cut flowering penstemon stems they wilt! I put them in water with flower preservative in the vase with a lot of other flowers. When I cut them, I put them in water within 2 minutes.
In my garden, they are subject to powdery mildew sometimes. What should be done? |

| Hi Sugar1. No expert here, but I found that my penstemon had to be put into hydrating solution immediately upon cutting. I use chrysal OVB liquid and find that the penstemon stay upright and happy. I leave them in this until I actually use them in a bouquet when they are in preservative. Hope this helps. |
