I have just planted some stock plants that are already in bloom -- rather spindly. Should I cut them down? If so, how far? Thanks for any advice you can give.

RE: stock

I also transplanted some stocks (lilac-colored from "Swallowtail Garden Seeds")that are in bloom so I e-mailed my seed source and my local paper's garden blogger and will forward their advice as soon as I get it.
