The Cutting Garden

Blackberry Lily good as cut flower?

I have a host of tiny seedlings from my spring effort to raise belamacanda chinensis from seeds, and I am trying to decide where to plant them, so they can have a bit of time in the soil before fall. Does anyone know if they make a good cut flower? I have found info about seed heads, but not the flowers.

The flowers do not make a cut flower. They last only one day. The dried seed clusters make very good cut flowers.

Thank you very much I james ! I have always loved watching them bloom so now I will have a reason to watch for the seed pods to cut! They will go out to the dried flower area today, making growing on space for other stuff!
