Ordering Tulips

| For those of you who plan to order tulip bulbs for planting this Autumn or who have planted tulip bulbs in recent years, what company is your preferred vendor? And, what do you plan on ordering?
My search on this forum revealed several sources; however, they are from a few years ago.

Thank you kitkat. Their website has me hooked. Gorgeous tulips! I also like their parrots. Teresa

Van Engelen has high quality bulbs, prices overall are somewhat lower per 100 than Colorblend, but 100 is generally the minimum order for tulips from Van Engelen. Both are located in CT, so shipping costs should be similar. If you are near a Costco, the tulips I've bought from them are good quality and very cheap - you are limited by what they offer and can't order in advance, but worth checking out to augment your planting.

Thank you annebert. I was able to find some at Costco last year that worked out well. I really liked the parrots at Colorblend and felt something a little different might be fun. Teresa

Hey: How many of you have found that growing tulips are worthwhile at the market. I'm having a hard time convincing myself(and my husband) to spend the money on the bulbs.
