I think so too, though I have been lousy at trying to grow them, and have never had any that big.

This is a plume celosia. Thinman, an easy one for me has been the pampas plume, seed from Johnneys, I think. billstickers, they also come in a 'cocks comb' shape that is really cool too.

Wow, kind of cool that you saw that at a restaurant! Not that it's an unusual or unheard of flower, but it's not the most common, especially for the little vase on a restaurant tabletop.

I grow the Pampas Plume and also Glowing Spears. I do grow the cockscomb or cristata variety also, although I have a bit more trouble getting these to a decent size. Can't decide if I like them. They kinda look like brains, lol - especially those green-gold ones! But they do attract people's attention when they are in bouquets!
