Hi guys,

Has anyone ever used geraniums (pelargoniums) in cut flower bouquets? Can anyone give me info regarding vase life, etc.?

Thanks,
:)
Dee

I have used them in a vase by themselves and they lasted about five days if cut when about 1/4 of the petals have opened. My only issue is that the stems are short so they need to go by themselves or other short flowers. I love the bright fushia ones! Theresa.

Thanks, Theresa! Funny you should mention it - it's exactly the bright fuschia ones that I keep eyeing! I have a bunch in pots on my back steps, and every time I walk outside I think how great that color is. I agree that they are on the short side, but I do have some stems that are a bit longer.

Thanks for the info. Knowing when to cut the kind of flowers that have multiple tiny blooms is one of my weak points.

:)
Dee
