While returning to the house today along our gravel drive, I noticed many newly blooming daisy like yellow flowers blooming. They look like rudbeckia but have a yellow eye. I cut several for today's vase and all of them have wilted within a few hourse.

Earlier this year I picked wild rudbeckia on our farm and it lasted quite a long time in a vase.

I am wondering if what I picked was not rudbeckia and if now, would anyone know what it is and how to condition it so that it does not immediately wilt?
