Orach 'Green Spires?'

I saw this info about Orach 'Green Spires' in the J. L. Hudson catalog: "Dark green plants to 5 feet high. Bred for the European florist trade, very ornamental, as well as being good in the vegetable garden." Does anyone know how it's used by florists? Thanks!

RE: Orach 'Green Spires?'

I grow red and green orach for bouquets. It's one of my very favorites. The green makes a wonderful, lime/acid green filler. Some don't plant it because it reseeds, but I don't see that here. It looks a lot like a giant refined "lambs quarters" but you need to let it go to seed before it is cut.
