| I am missing all of you cut flower growers as well. I also think of you often when I am out in the field harvesting for markets. I keep family and friends updated through a blog. The following is my current update to my Care Page blog: The weather we have been having lately is crazy. The dahlias seem to like it. The humans here on the flower farm not so much. The good news from my recent MRI is that the cancer hasn't metastasized to the bones in my back. The bad news is that my back is in terrible shape. It's the L1/L2, L2/L3, L3/L4, and L4/L5 discs. You do know what this means. Right? Yes. Physical therapy. And, then we go from there. Understandably, my back is sore beyond description. I am really depending on a tremendous amount of help from the folks who help us at market on Saturday. And, if I'm a bit cranky, you'll have to forgive me as well. But, but, but, the very good news is that we have new canopies. Yes. There is joy in Flowerlandville. So, those of us who were banging our heads on the old canopies can at least look forward to no bumps and bruises on our heads this Saturday. Rain maybe though. Sorry about that. We do markets in both rain and shine. What's a little rain when the temperature is a mere 45 degrees at 5:00 in the morning? On September 18th, I am scheduled for another CT Scan because there are pulmonary nodules that look suspicious; and, they want to compare a new CT Scan with the PET/CT Scan I had last December. The nodules did show up on the PET/CT Scan in December; however, they now want to check for any changes. This is the road my sister said we will not travel down. Thank you kindly for checking in with me, and your best wishes -- because compassion is the only way that most of the things that are wrong in this world are going to get better. Warmest Regards, Trish
