Why won't my Maguerite daisies bloom?

I planted a 2-gal Marguerite "Snowball" in June and after the spectacular nursery bloom faded, I've had exactly three measley flowers. Its green, looks ok. Its in the same soil and getting the same water as dahlias that have gone nuts blooming all summer. What am I doing wrong? How do I get that full solid bloom like it had when I bought it?

They do not bloom very well in warm weather, it should recover and bloom nicely once it cools off, same as diascia. It looks good with fall mums and 'Bright Lights' swiss chard.
As you discovered, dahlias are much better for summer bloom.
