| Dear Flower Growers,
I've been lurking on the forum for some eighteen months now, but I finally have a piece of land to call my own. It's an allotment some 100 feet by 30 feet, divided into about ten largish beds, with grass paths in between them. Half of the allotment is very overgrown and needs clearing, but the other half has been cultivated this year. My parents have packaged up all of my seeds and cell packs so that I can start sowing hardy annuals for the spring. They had been stored in our garage and most seeds are still in perfect condition. The only casualties appear to have been some Unwins sunflowers 'popular collection'. They were popular all right ... with the MICE! Not a single packet survived... I've also ordered 125 tulip bulbs and 120 daffodils to get me started together with some other spring bulbs and plug plants. Happy growing to all! Pollie. |
