 o
cutting Euphorbia Diamond Frost

What success have you had in cutting the Diamond Frost Euphorbia? I'd grown it a few years in mixed containers, but didn't think of cutting it. Thought the milky stem might be a problem and it would likely shatter.

Late this season the fillers were running low, so I tried a test cut. It seemed to hold up rather nicely in spite of having been in bloom for several months.

It isn't tall enough for large bunches, but looked nice with short Gomphrena and some smallish Dianthus. The branching habit is a little fragile and awkward, but I think it has a modest place for cutting. Next year will plant some additional ones specifically to cut.
