Tulips/Daffs - Terra Ceia or Lowes

Posted by resalesally (My Page) on

I am interested on pursuing selling bouquets starting this spring. This will an extrememly small scale start. To supplement my current garden bulbs (and not canabalize my backyard) I was going to purchase additional tulips, daffs, etc.

Terra Ceia has nice bushel special that I have purchased in the past (tulips at $87 for 250), but is the quality any different than the Lowe's bulbs $10 per 40 which is less outlay?
Thanks

I'm not familiar with Terra Ceia, but I'm linking to their reviews on Garden Watchdog, which is a good site to check a company out before you buy. If Terra Ceia is a reputable company, I do have to say that I would trust the quality of a good bulb vendor more than Lowe's.

If you are looking for good quality in quantity, Van Engelen is a good vendor. I have never bought from them, but use their sister company John Scheepers all the time, and Van Engelen gets consistently good reviews. It may be a bit late to get certain items though.

Good luck!
