Cut flowers in early spring and June

Posted by fredder (My Page) on

I would like to grow cut flowers for market in early spring and around June.

I mainly grow some woodies that bloom in early spring but my two windows are March and June.

I have never myself sold at a farmers market but would like to.

I'm in the hot desert southwest and want easy things that grow well and take the heat.

Also good seed companies for a farmer would be great.

Thank you

Fred

Fred,

Sorry that your post has been hanging out there for a month. I hope by now you have been able to find some information regarding growing in the hot desert southwest. You don't mention exactly where you are located.

My suggestion to you is purchase the newly revised edition of The Flower Farmer, by Lynn Byczynski. There should be some very helpful information in the book for you.

Trish
