Hi bklynxmas,
Thanks for trying to brighten up the winter with Tempest- a very nice dahlia indeed. I wish your photo was about ten times larger so we blind people could enjoy it too!

How are you trying to post photos?

Hi Poochela,
Thanks for the compliment. I am simply following the picture posting instructions when I get to the 'preview message' point before I have the message posted. For some reason, everyone elses pictures are so much larger. My 'Dark Magic' Dahlia photo was repeatedly rejected, telling me that it exceeded the 61k limit even though I reduced it to 57K. Anyway, I was successful in posting my 'Dark Magic' Dahlia in the Photo Galleries. Go figure!

I've never heard of a 61kb limit. Just checked my pinks/corals and all photos were greater than that. I wonder if it's a new rule for photos?

Dark Magic is a good one- pretty colors. I'll go scope out the gallery to see it. Have any others?

Tempest is a new one for me this year. I hope the blooms turn out as pretty for me as yours! Thanks for posting and I do hope you post more.

Annabeth,I highly recommend Tempest. At least for me, I have found it trouble free, vigorous, hardy, and a real good tuber producer. The blooms pictured were from a tuber that actually overwintered in my Brooklyn garden (granted it was a mild winter and it was in a sheltered spot.). This year, I wasn't so lazy, I dug them up!

I hope to post more photos this summer - hopefully, larger than this one!!!
