Sorry-posted on the discussion forum by accident. I was wondering if anyone could post photos of their favorite collarettes...I just love the colors & how cute they are! I am wanting a few for bouquets. Would you mind telling us where you found them? Thanks! :0) Phyl

Hi Phylrae,
Pooh: bold, bright colors on good stems and fair number. Should be available from dahlia vendors (earlier in season would be better than now) and at tuber sales. Possibly at nurseries or big box stores, but I've never seen it there.

Fascination II is one I always marvel at for its many varied bright magenta tones on white. Connell's Dahlias has that, and be mindful of Fascination vs Fascination II to assure you're getting the right one.

There's another collarette I've since lost that I used to like very well. If I think of it, I'll post later. Busy time of year!

Thanks for the awesome photos, Poochella! I'm sorry I had never seen your reply til now. I just love collarettes! I am seeing a few already-grown dahlias that look similar to Pooh at Walmart...I wonder if I get one, would I just store the tuber afterwards, as if I had grown the dahlia from a tuber myself?

Hi Phyl, I thought you already replied in email, no? Could've been someone else... no matter.

I've thought of another collarette which was from the Impression series, Impression Fantastico specifically.
2.5" flowers in dark purple with white collars and tons of blooms, although only on 9-12" stems.

Jackolantern was the only other one I've grown, but the colors vary so much, I wanted something more reliably uniform.

Man, I like the look of Wheels too; very bright and cheery.

Phyl, I didn't answer your earlier question on the already-blooming one you bought: yes, it will likely produce tubers and yes, you can save them as you would any other dahlia tuber (which means about 40 different methods to choose from. Good luck with that!) I'm so sad I killed my Pooh tubers..... next year perhaps I'll get it back.

Best luck with your new flowers!
