These are from the Spider,Laciniated types of Dahlias.
They're alright pretty, but just don't seem to have the pazzzz that dinnerplates, and others have.

To each his own. I find them quite attractive. They are welcome in my garden anytime. The dinnerplates I keep in a special area, away from my other dahlias. i find them just too large. Different strokes for different folks. LOL

Hi jroot: I probably will have changed my mind when the temps get down to a breathable level. This has been the most discouraging gardening year I've ever encountered. But it will all come to pass! And of course when I peruse the catalogs, this summer will be forgotten. Please forgive my negativity! Pat

I love LC's - and most other kinds. I don't think your bottom two would be classified as LC's though, more SC.
Nice flowers.

I grew Anna Mari a few years back and loved it. You have great stems and Bloomquist Dawn looks like a wonderful color, though it and the white are not laciniated. I guess it depends on what one is looking for in a flower to be satisfied.

Weird weather year here too, but not hot; quite the opposite. I'd give a dollar to add 20 degrees to our thermometer for a week. Maybe two.
