Thanks! And the proportion of red to white is different on each bloom - so each is a surprise! Anna

Wow, those colours must stand out beautifully in the garden. So pretty! I am thinking of starting just a red and white dahlia bed next year. Sierra

I have a Red and White dahlia called Yorokobi, each of its flowers are different. It is a fantastic bloomer. The only problem I have here is that the European earwigs seem to love any dahlias that have a white edge.I also had Little Tiger a border dahlia, also red and white that I finally left in the ground this year after growing it for a couple of years, defeated by the earwig chews on this one. I never saw a bloom on it that wasn't chewed to bits.

Hello, I have also the nice dahlia fire and ice in my garden. Do you know, who is the grower of this beautiful dahlia. Here in Germany I have heard, that this dahlia ist from 2004. Thank you for information and regards from Germany Toennchen

just a little advice about the earwigs (i had this same problem too) if you spray the flowers with soapy water every couple of days once the but starts to open a bit (i mean a very tiny bit, petals showing even a little) about every 2 or 3 days, then the earwigs will not eat them. Soapy water, there isn't much in the way of garden pests that it doesn't work to repel.
