Sharon I was given an entire clump of Gerry Hoek and made about 5 plants of it! I can't wait to get my first bloom: it went in the groudn fairly late in June if I recall, but ready to go within a week or so. Looks like a lovely flower. I'll post if and when one opens.
Congratulations!

My Dahlia's all got in the ground in late June. my May and June working schedule was horrendous so my garden and especially seedlings had to endure tremondous neglect. Gerry Hoek and Tsuki Yori have been the over acheivers in my band of survivor Dahlias. Both are prolific bloomers and Gerry is particularily constant. I'm sure you'll love the blooms. The subtlety of the pink to yellow is difficult to capture in a photograph.

I can deal with particularly constant bloomers! Still no buds showing color on Gerry Hoek let alone near blooming, but they are on the way and I will welcome them after your description.

Okay Sharon, My first "Gerrie Hoek" is opening. It's pale pink and speckled with darker pink? Does that sound right?

Only about 2.5 inches across so far, but they were planted very late.

I just received official word that the above is not Gerry Hoek after all. Anyone recognize it?
