One of the 1st dahlias I saw on the internet was Embrace. So nice to finally have one of these.
Dahlia Embrace

Formby Kaitlyn is a nice deep purple, kind of like the purple in Thomas Edison.

Mingus Bruce, another freebie from one of the suppliers this year. This is THICK, frilly and huge.

Perfect each one. Mingus Bruce is a frilly monster! How big a bloom is it for you? You should be at the state fair with your blooms- they are lovely.

Poochella, I can't remember if M. Bruce is AA or A but I got 10 inches on this bloom. I really wanted to start disbudding this year but with 36 indoor orchids to deal with, my poor dahlias didn't get their proper care. You should give this one a try. It's almost a perfect "ball", many layers of petals pushing back to the stem.

Thanks, viking! Looks like your garden's doing splendid also!

I really like your picture of Embrace. She is the epitome of why I like Dahlias: perfectly formed, graceful, sturdy, beautifully colored, and big. Thanks for all the postings of your beautiful flowers.
