Last Autumn Bouquet

I expect frost to end the season any time now. We have had a few days in a row now of temperatures below 10 C. I picked a basketful of blooms to make what will probably be the last bouquet of the season.

Beautiful Sharon! Those roses look good enough to melt in one's mouth- peach or tangerine flavored, I think. Your dahlias look fresh as on any summer day- well done!

Thanks Poochella. I will be following your earlier posts to see if I can preserve tubers from these for next season. I was quite happy with the Dahlias as a whole even if they did keep me hopping with the tying up.

Those roses are Pat Austin. She blooms prolifically until the buds freeze. The petals have all the shades of a sunset or a peach. I love the roundness, like scoops of ice cream or sherbet. The scent is mildly spicy.
