I got a box of dahlia tubers from my sister-in-law which grew 6' high and had huge, shocking pink blooms (8-12"), just amazing.

I know nothing about dahlias. So when the time came to dig up and divide I followed pictureless instructions and managed to not keep ANY of the 'neck' of the tubers, hence no eyes.

I want to replace the dahlias I destroyed because they were such a lovely gift and I don't want my sister-in-law to be upset.

Don't feel too bad. If you don't know what you're trying to cut, it's very tempting to just cut off the neck of the tubers.

At first glance, in a pink dahlia that size, Otto's Thrill came to mind. It's fairly common in the big box stores. The link below is a bad photo, but see what you think. When I grew it, it had a very pale bit of yellow in the centers not visible in this photo.

I can't tell from your photo if you have all pink, pink and white, or pink and yellow?

I don't think it was Otto's Thrill, because the flowers were a really deep shocking pink, only white/yellow at the center of the bloom and the base of the petals. I'd post another image if I could figure out how to.

Go to the "Kenora Superb" thread just below here in the gallery, and read about posting photos. Maybe one of those methods will work for you.
