A friend and I spent all afternoon looking at 2 websites for dahlias we want. Suddenly I remembered Garden Watchdog and looked them up. Homestead had no ratings at all and Aztec was not rated very well. We know about Swan Island and Connell's, have never ordered from Wynnes. Who do you all order from?

Definately Wynne's!!! They're the best! Good growers, great dahlias, friendly, knowledgeable, they guarantee the tubers will have an eye or they'll replace them--- & they give freebies in your order!

I've only ordered from Swan Dahlias and was very pleased with their tubers and service. The tubers bloomed beautifully. I'm getting ready to order from them again, you can contact them for one of their catalogs. www.dahlias.com

I find that Wynnes stays mostly with A and AA. A few B. they are great but I only use a few AA because of the flopping. I like Connells, Ferncliff, lost half of Swan last year to rot. I was saved late in the season by Dutch Garden.

Wynnes AA & A dahlias don't flop- they breed them with broomstick strong stems! They also have about 20 BB & B sized dahlias. I ordered from Swan Island once- 10 tubers-- 6 of them didn't eye up & 2 weren't what I ordered- the remaining 2 the blooms were of poor quality & bad form so....never again! Ferncliff is Ok but they're in Canada so there's the extra expense of the phyto certificate. Dan's is OK & Connell's is Ok... sometimes.

Check the Big List on the Colorado Dahlia society website and you will find a great selection of reputable suppliers to buy from.
