| I have grown dahlia plant , now the stem is very thin but plant has grown tall why is this happening?? |

| I took this plant from a friend, he doesnt know variety of Dahlia it is. I have grown it in pot. weather is cold with tempatures between 50 to 70 F. |

| I think its the intensity and duration of light which is causing this stretching (low intensity and short duration) |

| Did you pinch it? Pinching enables the plant to get bushy and the main stem to enlarge. |

| pinching is ok if male plant. However if female plant you may get your face slapped. Steve S. |
