Sprouts on Tubers Very Long

| I generally remove long sprouts on tubers before planting. Of course, if it has only the one sprout, I would not. Anybody else have an opinion? |

| If I remember correctly, Swan Island recommends snipping them back to aprox. 1" before planting, so thats what I have always done. |

| I have also heard to pinch them back to about 1 inc I have the same problem this year. |

| My question would be, if you pinch them back to an inch and there's no node in that inch, will there be branching? |
