I purchased some dahlia seed out of curiosity: supposed to be small bedding type plants. I wanted Stargazer (which I have heard mentioned here) but did not find those. I have trouble finding short dahlias in stores so thought IÂd try these. When I bought my tubers last week I could only find one kind of short, just single mixed. I got them anyway but hope to get more variety this way.

Would peat pellets be suitable? I often have problems with damping off otherwise, even with seed starting mix.
