| I purchased some dahlia seed out of curiosity: supposed to be small bedding type plants. I wanted Stargazer (which I have heard mentioned here) but did not find those. I have trouble finding short dahlias in stores so thought I’d try these. When I bought my tubers last week I could only find one kind of short, just single mixed. I got them anyway but hope to get more variety this way.
Would peat pellets be suitable? I often have problems with damping off otherwise, even with seed starting mix. |

| I started Stargazers from seed last summer in peat pellets with no problem. I also started some about a week ago the same way -let you know how they do. If you still want to order Stargazer seed I got mine from swallowtailgardenseeds.com. |
