Where to buy: Camano Pet, Pam Howden, Winkie Colonel, Bonaventure

I was just looking for these and other dahlias to order, since I just got my computer back up running after moving 3 weeks ago.

I picked these varieties from pictures I had take at last year's Philadelphia Dahlia society show/competition at Longwood gardens last Sept.

So since it IS early in the season, and many places like Swan Island dont even start shipping til 2-4 weeks from now, I figured I'd have no problem finding these dahlia tubers.............. But, I am.

There are a couple places that sell a couple of these types, but some of the pictures posted by these sellers look terrible to be blunt. The colors dont look right, etc.

Other places have already run out for the season!

These varieties probably arent the most common, but they do look very, very good, if bought from the right source since they were ALL show winners this year.

I wish Swan Island had them since I was happy with the tubers I bought from them last year, and their pictures look good too.

Any ideas?

The Colorado Dahlia Society web page has the big list dahlia locater which will show you where you can purchase the varieties you are looking for. It may be hard to find them at this point since many people have already placed their orders as far back as last fall and many varities are already sold out.

You should check and see if your local dahlia society has a tuber sale and you might find some of them there.

Good Luck!
Linda
