I have grown dahlias before with some success (lets just say when I did everything you are supposed to do I had great dahlias). I have not had a lot of success in my current yard as there is just too much shade. Over the past few years I have realized the sunniest part of my yard is a fairly steep hill that until recently was covered with ivy and years of yard debris. I am almost done clearning this area and I think it might be a great place to plant my dahlias. It gets sun pretty much all day, has great soil, and will be viewed nicely from our back deck. Any advice? Ideas? Will this work?
