Oh No, a rabbit

There is a large brown rabbit in the yard and I have seen him before. Any ideas on how to get rid of him before I put my plants in?

Look up a good recipe for RABBIT STEW. Steve in Baltimore County.

try using blood meal as a barrier. meaning put a thin line around your planter. rabbits don't like strong smelling things so that will hopefully keep it out of your plants. also, I hate to say it urine works well also. so if you have a dear husband up to the task...
also you can look up other 'strong smelling' plants to put in the area to help keep the rabbit away.
good luck. if you can't find any other information. I have a sheet that lists all the plants materials that are good for keeping rabbits out.

Liquid Fence works as well for rabbits as it does for deer, as another option.

This morning the rabbit was out on the lawn again. He had been in the trap as one of the carrots had been pulled out. The trap had also sprung. I am afraid he will not go back in after all the noise. I will try the Liquid Fence Pooch. Wouldn't it be awful to have gone the whole winter waiting for our dahlias and than a rabbit eats them?
