Tuber Sale Find

I experienced my first local dahlia tuber sale yesterday held by the Michigan Dalia Society. I was impressed with the selection although they did not have all that was on my "wish list" (fortunately?). The tubers were all laid out on tables by size, but not alpha so I made several passes. And who do you think I spied as the tubers were cleared by other buyers? Ms. "Barbara Hardisty Kantor" - a difficult to acquire and expensive dahlia tuber - showing one healthy eye. I shared my find much to the chagrin of some of the society's members who didn't know they were holding this special variety.

RE: Tuber Sale Find

Another thought - I purchased a "Black Cat" tuber that was marked as a Karma. I am actually hoping it's not a Karma, but rather the semi-cactus type that is better known. Does anyone know it there is a Karma "Black Cat"? I searched and can't find it anywhere.
