I'm interested in knowing which varieties bloom the quickest. I'm not talking about dahliettas or small dahlias. I'm interested in plants that produce flowers of 4" or larger.

I'm counting from the time the tuber is dormant, and you place it in the ground, til the day the 1st flower is fully open.

I have not grown too many varieties myself, only about 12 or so, but I grew one in 2006 that produced flowers from 4"-5.5" without disbudding, and it started flowering in about 45 days! I have pictures of the flowers but I dont know the variety name.

Aside from that, my Macallister's pride bloomed in 72 days. I produced flowers from 4-5".
