help with karma dahlia culture - new to dahlias

I don't know what I was thinking, but I have a number of karma dahlias coming my way via mail order and I'm not certain if I have enough sunny space.

Here are my varieties: Dahlia Karma Choc - Dahlia Karma Bon Bini - Dahlia Karma Fuchsiana - Dahlia Karma Lagoon - Dahlia Karma Corona Red - Dahlia Karma Corona - 3 of the chocolate and 2 of each of the rest. Here are my questions:

- How close together can these be planted

- Can I pot some up, and if so, exactly how big a pot do I need to use

- In the PNW - will 6 hours of sun be enough - will they bloom with less?

- Is there a way to protect the tuber from MOLES/VOLES - my two biggest garden pests next to deer

-Does anyone in zone 8 - portland, oregon area leave the tuber in the ground or must they be removed in the fall

Can someone point me to dahlia FAQs -

- any additional advice for one completely new to dahlias, but experienced with gardening and thankfully have good dirt!!
