When your supplier substitutes a plant, just try and get another company to send you just one! I have tried 6 already and they won't do it. Am looking for Taratahi Ruby. I ordered very early also so don't know why it was substituted. very annoying.

Is it that they won't do it, or don't have the product? I picked up extras of Taratahi Ruby at our local tuber sale, so if you're willing to pay my cost of $3 plus priority shipping if you're far away, I'll send you one, but only one. Email me from my member page if you're interested.

I hear that! I also found out that it may be too late to order tubers at this time of the year. I had no idea, since I've never grown dahlias and ony just became interested in them. I did find one, Sea-Tac Gardens in Seattle. Maybe you could try that one.
|
Well I e-mailed the place where I had the order and told them about my problem. They responded that they had had trouble with the tuber eyeing up, but surprise, they have found one for me. Yeah. Nice people thanks, Pooch, I am all set.

Some suppliers sell out very early on - like in late December so it depends on when YOU consider early in the ordering process. Taratahi Ruby is always popular and sells out quickly almost everywhere.
