Spider Mite

I spent yesterday reading about new products for spider mites. Some of them are over $200 for 8 ounces but they say they work. These are not being sold by our regular stores, they are right from the growers. I have to pick one for spider mite and one for fungus control.

PD I have had the best luck with Ultra Fine Spray Oil. Some of the insecticides sold to control spider mites are pretty vicious stuff. Steve in Baltimore County.

Does Ultrafine Oil Spray have a name?

FWIW, I bought predatory mites. I'm going to say it worked, despite the fact that most of the growing part of the cannas I put them on have more or less died. That I blamed myself for...leaving things too late to save what had already grown.

New shoots are growing well, however, and are mite free.

I purchased 4000 of them based on a conversation with the owner of the company who supplied them. She was great!

My tubers and cuttings are all mite-free for now.

Cheers,
Russ
