 o
newbie question

Hello,
I've grow perennials and annuals for many years, but am new to dahlias. I couldn't resist buying several of the Karma series last summer.

After frost I lifted the clump of tubers, dried them for a few days, removing most of the nursery soil, and stored the clumps undivided in a large shallow cardboard box covered in a light soiless mix in a cool basement. Every month or so, I slightly misted the surface of the soil.

So, now my question....I'd like to divide and pot. Most of the tubers are firm, but I can't see any eyes (shoots?)to show me where to cut. What should I do?

Thanks
Jacqui

RE: newbie question

I have never divided tubers, but have to do it this weekend. I came across this on the site, it was originally posted on April 3, 05.
I hope it helps. ( I typed dividing tubers into the search box to find it)
