Something chewing my dahlias

Posted by putri.m 6 (My Page) on

I have planted two small dahlia plants about 10 inches in height. They started out fine and even started to bloom. But now there seem to be something eating the plant cause I find holes on the leaves and some of the buds decayed(turn brown).I thought it might be caterpillars, but i looked and i don't see any of that. What should I do to resolve this?
Thanks

Check around for slugs, even little tiny ones. Use slug bait.

The brown buds could be botryitis.

Here is a link that might be useful: botrytis?

I don't see any slugs. My plant may be suffering from botrytis as it looks similar to the link you gave me. How to solve it?
