Can Dahlias Get By with 5 Hours of Sun?

I have three Dahlia tubers that I potted up over a month ago, they've sprouted and are now ready to go in the ground. I'll be planting them this weekend. My bed gets about 5, maybe a little more or a little less, hours of sun a day, is this enough for them to grow well? The hours of sun are from 10:00 am until 2 - 3:00 pm, depending on the time of summer.

What is the least amount of sun a Dahlia can take and still produce decent blooms?

5 hours at those hours should be enough to produce blooms. Many of mine struggle for sun with our surrounding trees and they do just fine. You may not get the intense colors you expect, or you may get better colors on those that like shading. Just try and see.
