One tuber - several stems

OK - I divided - somewhat clumsily and mercilessly, and yet most tubers seem to be doing well. Is it bad to have several stems growing from one tuber? will the size of the blooms be diminished because of that, or will I simply have more flowers? Many thanks. Anna

... more flowers for sure. They may be a little smaller but if you are not showing at the local fair etc, who cares? I always prefer to have more flowers. Don't worry... enjoy!

Thank you! I am so relieved, as I hate to remove stems that seem to be growing so enthusiastically. Just want to say - thanks to you and others here, I was able to make 4 plants out of one much desired dahlia that I bought this year (a big clump which was showing several eyes). And I felt so proud I divided correctly!

Thanks again,

Anna
