So you have a "cutting bed"? That's what I want.

Out of curiosity, I used to plant my dahlias at 6inches...but now the packages are saying two inches???

Hey ML, Where in Westchester are you? I'm in the southern
part...Eastchester. I have several raised beds in my yard on the southern side of my house. They wind up getting between 6-8 hrs of sun during the summer.

I am in the process of creating a new dahlia bed on the south side. Lots of sun all day my roses does very well on the south side. Dahliaboy what is the address of HartÂs Brook Preserve I would like to stop by and talk Dahlia's. I am in New Rochelle just off Quaker Ridge road. I saw in a recent post that you have installed a drip irrigation system did you purchase it locally.

Glad-- Yes, my current bed is on the southside of my house and my dahlias and climbing roses love it too.

Looks like you're not too far from my house. I used to take my dog to Ward Acres before the ban. My cousin
installed the drip system for me. I have it in my raised beds and in all my pots and boxes. The Harts Brook Preserve is off of Ridge Road in Hartsdale.
