Do I cut off pale sprouts from tubers?

Hello-just took some dahlia tubers out of packaging and they have sprouted long pale sprouts...do I cut these off? What is the best way to promote growth outside before I plant in ground? Can I just cover lightly with some soil andleave in a pot until I make sure its viable and put in the ground? Thanks......

No, those sprouts will soon get their color and should do fine.

Cheers,
