Does Dahlia grows well if it is planted outdoor?

I planted tubers in a pot but kept them outside.I planted them at the end of April. Now the plant has grown up to 5inches.Do I get flowers since I planted them outside?

And this is the first time I am planting Dahlia. Any further care should I take?

Any advice would be helpful.

I'm not too clear on what you are asking, but I did understand the question about flowers outside. Yes, you will get flowers, once the plant matures. Don't let it get caught in a spring frost.
