| This is my first year with these lovelies and I think I may have over planted the bed - my gladiolus have outflanked the dahlias in the front, and I am wondering if anyone else mixes their beds with other bulbs or annuals. I know now that I need to get some high-nitrogen fertilizer on the foliage ASAP, but aside from that, is it wise to plant so many tuber/bulbs together? |

| The dahlias grow much taller than most flowers and and will do just fine. Many beginner gardeners plant too many things together. you will learn by experience how much space each plant needs. |
