Dahlias are amazing!

Just had to share my experience....A few of my dahlia plants tipped over in the pots from over-watering. I was so disappointed, but I read on this forum how new eyes will form on the tubers and how you can stick the dahlia plant in the soil and it may regenerate a new tuber and grow. Skeptical, I tried it, and believe it or not, it is working! I am so thrilled. One plant that I stuck in the ground after it became separated from its tuber was so sad and wilted looking - it was pretty hopeless. But now it is healthy and strong and actually growing! I checked and two of the tubers have new eyes. It is truly amazing! Just had to share.... ;o)

I can tell how excited you are Christina & you've a right to be. Generally if I have harmed a tuber in any way, it's a gonner. That's o.k., lesson learned, pay attention! Hope you'll enjoy all your pretty flowers when they start blooming and don't forget we love to see pictures.
