First dahlias question

At the last minute I ordered dahlias from Swan Island and planted the tubers in a prepared bed on June 10. I've wanted to grow these for years, but realize I got a late start. Any idea what I should expect? Most of these are supposed to turn into 4' plants with 8" or so blooms. Does the lateness mean they won't bloom til Sept? I realize I took something of a risk, but I wanted to give it a go this year. Now that they are in the ground, I'm wondering if I should keep my expectations low. I'm in north central Mass near the NH border.

Usually 90-120 days depending on the size of the bloom and the
plant/tuber variety. I would guess 90 days for yours.

The beauty of Dahlias is that they are blooming away full speed when every other perennial in ones garden is dying back. So be glad they will be donning their petals in September. You will enjoy them!

I had alot of rot this year and I am also from MA. I just ordered more tubers. I think we should see something by the end of August.

Oh good! I was afraid I might hear that all I would see this year are buds. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a good season.
