I am out there almost every day spraying the plants, I didn't put all this work into these plants to watch them get nibbled on by these fuzzy white cotton balls. Anyone else battling thrips right now? I'm just using a homemade insecticidal soap--the thrips are fast though and I don't always manage to get them before they jump. Argh. We're traveling for a few days soon, and I am worried they might get munched while we are gone.

i am also having a problem with thrips.. i am in the process of trimming down all my dahlias so there is not many leaves left on them, and sprayed them all down with dish soap/ water solution. Good luck to you, maybe someone will come on with a solution.

Well the dahlias fared seemingly well while we were gone--thrips on lots of other plants though--still spraying when I see them!
