Yep- that's my Dad! You're way ahead of us in blooming, Viking! I love the dark stems with the bright red. Please post another picture when he gets fully open. Can't wait for ours to get serious about blooming!

Is that a ditch lily I spot just to the right of your van?? I have about 200 cultivars of daylilies. Come down someday I will give you a load of daylilies to brighten up LI even more. Steve in Baltimore County

I cannot believe you have flowers in Medford? I am in Groton and am nowhere near a bloom. I will get Dapper Dan next year. We are both lucky that we didn't get that hail storm last night.

Yes oscar those are ditch lilies. I have three new purple day lilies in my garden. None have bloom yet.
