Accidentally broke off one of my three stems!

Will I be able to regrow the stem by putting some hormone powder on the end and planting it back in the soil? I only had three measly stems as it was! Hate to lose one.

I'm still growing mine indoors until it cools off a little here. The temperature stays in the 90's, sometimes closer to 100, and terribly humid. I'm afraid if I plant them outside they'll just shrivel up and die!

Thanks,
Dee

Why not try to root it? You probably would have better results if you give the cutting some protection from the hot sun for a while ( in a pot), and then you could transplant it when the roots have formed. Many of us do stem cuttings in the spring. You should also get more tubers in the fall.

Awesome! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it grows roots. I cut off the top of the stem that was wilted. Hopefully this will give it a better chance.

Thanks,
Dee
