| I've seen pictures of this and must have it. Can't find any nursery with any in stock. Anyone have any cuttings/bulbs they'd like to trade? I don't have any dahlia's but a long trade list.

| Try going to www.google.com and enter each of the above separately. I have been pleasing surprised at what I have been able to bring up there. |

| *immediately googles pictures, jaw drops* MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUST HAVE! I think I'll be doing quite a bit more of googling this myself. I might have to find some tubers for next spring! |

| They are really fun to watch grow. As for blooming you need to be in a zone where no early frost hits, or start super early in a greenhouse, or be really, really lucky with prolonged summer weather. Still, well worth growing just to see the incredible growth rate. From the Big List at www.dahlias.net these growers carry tree dahlias among others. * TREE DAHLIA Corralitos Gardens * TREE DAHLIA Dahlia Dandies * TREE DAHLIA(3) Plant Delights Nursery

| Whoopie! Thanks so much for those nursery names. I tried the first three and got the same results I got on my own...none in stock or not shipping. But on that last one JACKPOT! They had multiple types. I'm ordering the double lavender. I live in Tampa so no problem growing them here. They did have a minimum...which first meant I had to get three plants. I was going to offer the other two for trade/sale, but then started cruising their catalog and had no problem then hitting that minimum, lol. Thanks again, |

| Glad you found one. The Florida climate should make a very happy dahlia imperialis. Make sure you give the trunk/s strong support or protect it from wind. They are hollow and snap easily just like their lesser cousins. Good luck! |

| I just planted my first one this year. It took a while to get leaves on it, but it's about 12" tall now. Can't wait to see it bloom. Next year, I'm sure I'll have tubers to give away. |
