| I would like to ask if anyone else close to my zone is noticing a slow start/progress this year. If things are going well ("nhdahlialover" obviously), tell me, did you start them early inside? if so, when? Do you have a totally sunny area? Do you fertilize? With what? I feel silly aksing such questions since I have had relative success these past 5 years - but this year it's dismal and I am getting rather depressed. Please share your secrets of success!
Thanks! |

| Anna, I am in southern NYS but I think everyone here experienced the same cold May and June weather, consequently everything--even those started inside in late April as I did mine was slow to pop. But don't listen to Viking. He's in a warmer zone and I swear he put's blankies on his babies at night to keep 'em hearty :). You've gotta remember it's soil temperature which fuels the sprouting and the growth: cold soil, slow to blossom. |
